Lexis Korea students had lots of fun ice skating together! ⛸️❄️ One of the ways to enjoy the extremely cold winter in Korea is ICE SKATING! The temperature often goes down to negative 10 degrees Celsius in Seoul.🥶 It's perfect timing to skate on the ice! ☃️🧊💙 🧤Lexis Korea provides not only language programs but also outdoor activities that you can enjoy during the specific season. Meet friends at Lexis and enjoy the city of Seoul!✨
Happy Seollal(#설날)!💕 설날(Seollal) is a Korean holiday celebrating the first day of the lunar calendar. Lunar New Year's Day is one of the biggest holidays in Korea. Families gather to share food, play traditional games, and respect elders to wish them a happy new year. 🎉 세배(Sebae)-Check out the image above!🙇 The New Year's bow is a ritual for elders to show respect on New Year's Day. Wearing traditional clothes, 한복(Hanbok), family members bow deeply to the elders and say, "Happy New Year." Then, adults usually give children new year's money/pocket money called 세뱃돈(Sebaet Don)💸 and give them words of blessing. The representative dish for New Year's day is 떡국(Tteokguk). 떡국(Tteokguk) consists of rice cakes(떡 Tteok), usually served in a beef-based broth. Thinly sliced egg, meat, and green onion are the most common garnish with the soup.
