Day 7 – Cheonggyecheon Stream & Deoksugung Palace
The following day we took a stroll down this beautiful man-made stream that runs over 11 kilometers long.
We also made a pit stop at the Seoul City Hall and Deoksugung Palace for the changing of Royal Guards ceremony which is a reenactment of the original ceremony dated back to a few centuries ago. It sure is a unique traditional culture you should not miss out on.
Day 8 – Korean Fan Making Workshop
On Wednesday was culture day where we held a Korean Fan Making (부채만들기) workshop. Using the Korean calligraphy skills that the girls learnt from their first week, they made their very own Korean fan. How amazing does their creative artwork look?
Day 9 – Itaewon Tour
It was a scorching hot summer afternoon last Thursday when we made our way to Itaewon. We walked around Itaewon for a little bit, before moving on to the Leeum, Samsung Museum of Arts where our students immersed themselves in the arts exhibition.
Day 10 – K-pop Dance Class
On Friday, we wrapped up the week with a fun K-pop dance class! As there’s a minimum of 20 students required for the class, together with fellow international students from the Intensive Korean program course, we headed to the Seoul Global Cultural Center where our students learnt the choreography and moves to BTS’s popular hit song – FIRE 불타오르네. Everyone had so much fun!
We will be back with another update next week! Have a great week ahead! 🙂
