Meet the neighbours – Seocho Myeongga Restaurant

This is about as close as a neighbour gets…three floors above our heads in ANY Tower.

Like many restaurants in Seoul, Myeongga offers a very cheap though limited lunch menu.   The value is very hard to beat, with a range of dishes (served with rice and of course all the side dishes you can imagine) for KRW5000.

Myeongga serve a really traditional spicy Korean menu.  The doenjang chigae (a kind of spiced-up miso soup with vegetables and meat) is really hard to beat on a cold day, and the bulgogi is another favourite.

Hint:  Where else would you go on a rainy day?  You never even have to leave the building!
